Newly single after a 2 yr relationship, never married, no kids, in a large city where it’s normal to be single in your 30s. I’ve been in relationships more often than I haven’t, but I’m struggling with the idea of being single as a 37 yo guy. The whole game is different and I’m at a loss of what to do.

I’m still in ok shape, I run races/work out regularly and have a lot of muscle but I’m 5’7 with an average face and a dad bod. I make a good amount of money, in any other city I’d be considered very wealthy but in my city it’s prob better than 70% of guys my age, so I’m well off but not “rich”. I haven’t got on dating apps yet, I’ve only been single a couple weeks and frankly don’t have great solo pictures from the past couple years, so I’m experimenting with old school ass going to the bar and chatting girls up.

I went out with some friends for a little tonight, then on the way home stopped by two bars in the neighborhood to have a drink, relax, and start some convos up. I chatted with a couple girls who seemed maybe early 30s. Convos seemed fine, chats lasted about 10 min each, they seemed very nice. Both girls declined exchanging numbers, but we left amicably, didn’t seem to be any awkwardness, they both were very nice about the whole thing.

Question is, how do you have game when you’re this old? I’m gonna guess the answer is to have a great OLD profile, but OLD kinda sucks. When I was single a few years ago it was fun, but every date kinda feels the same, and I like the idea of meeting someone naturally. I have a diet plan set up to lose weight as well, so that should help too. But I’m kind of at a loss as to how to approach dating as a 37yo, as dating when I’ve been younger was clearly very different than now. Kind of embarrassed to ask this question, but not sure I have anyone else to ask. I just want a healthy relationship, but it’s def much more challenging at this age. Any advice that can improve my chances and/or attractiveness is greatly appreciated. Thanks y’all.
